GOD be praised because of you. Because of you Rev Samuel Kamau Ng'ang'a I am. You donated your seed that GOD gave you to my Mother Mary Wambui Kamau and so I was conceived. No wonder the same GOD has put in THE MORAL LAW- THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. "Honor you father and your mother" as the fifth commandment. This is no coincidence for without father and mother there can be no child. GOD design for creation would be frustrated. It beat logic and it fails my understanding why children find it hard to honor their fathers and their mothers and yet this very basic truth is self- evident. How on earth can a child turn against the very vessels that GOD used to cause the child to be born?

Thanks be to GOD that after I was born, I grew up to know a Dad who had given his life to service of GOD and humanity. In the best way you knew how you served GOD and humanity with great joy, love, commitment, sacrifice, devotion and all.  Your life was full of grace. Grace upon grace. Now I look back and I know that GOD must have given you all this abundant grace. As I grew from childhood to adulthood I keenly observed your every move and I was awed by the great power and presence of GOD that flowed from you. I could clearly see it, feel it and almost touch it. Thank you for having given yourself to be a great noble vessel for use by our great and majestic GOD. Now that I am surrendering myself to be used by GOD, I know that things that used to appear as simple normal practice to you did not come that easily. You had to pay a price for it. Thank you so much Dad. Your joy and laughter was contagious. Now I know that your joy flowed from a heart filled with the goodness of GOD. "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." Matthew 12:34.

For as long as I could remember, you always woke up early for your time with GOD. You faithfully had your morning devotion day after day without failure. Many are the times I wondered what it was that motivated you to wake up that early in the morning. Now I know it was your love for GOD and for His Holy Word. I could easily understand why me and my brothers and sisters could wake up early to study for national exams, but why for heaven’s sake would you always wake up so early in the morning? That was like a puzzle that nagged my mind day after day. Time fails me to tell of all the positive lessons I learnt from you. Thank you all the same for being a great Dad to us all. Indeed IN LIFE AND IN DEATH WE BELONG TO GOD. May you continue to belong to GOD always. Peace! Shalom! Peace!
