WHOEVER WIN THE ELECTION WILL BE THE 4TH PRESIDENT OF KENYA: A LONG WALK TO KENYAN NATIONALISM!

Hail Kenya! Hail our great Beloved Motherland!
Whoever win a free, fair and rigging free General Election in Kenya will be the president of Kenya. The person will not be the president of Jubilee Coalition , Cord Coalition, Amani Coalition or any other coalition as the case maybe. The person will be the president of the Republic of Kenya. The president of the 42 Tribes of Kenya. Though he will be a member of one or two tribes, he will take care of all the 42 Tribes and serve them all well to the best of his ability.
Nevertheless, this having been stated, an objective observation and analysis of the Kenyan politics in the recent past and in the past 50 years reveals some key points.
Though Kenyans may have started A WALK TOWARDS KENYAN NATIONALISM in 1963 at independence, we have made a very few steps if any towards that direction. Towards the direction of becoming a Kenya with real Kenyan Nationalism. Let the truth be told! What we have is Tribal Nationalism instead of Kenyan Nationalism. Not that Tribal Nationalism is bad in itself, it is the abuse and misuse of Tribal Nationalism that give it a bad name. Indeed, I believe that, when strong Tribal Nationalism is harnessed and used positively, It will promote a strong Kenyan Nationalism.
What a Kenyan with a real human heart need to ponder is the rationale of our Kenyan Mindset. After going through the trauma and the pains of 2008 tribal violence, one would have thought that we as Kenyans have learned our lessons. Unfortunately, as we have always been accused, we have a very short memory. For one me being a Gikuyu Christian, I believe and actually preach forgiveness. What beat LOGIC and all REASONING is the argument that it is OK  to the majority (Read Democracy) of Kenyans, when Raila Odinga Unites with William Ruto in 2007 General Election against The Gikuyus. This in not OK! This is not right.
With the same breath, What beat LOGIC and all REASONING is the argument that it is OK to the majority (Read Democracy ) of Kenyans when Uhuru Kenyatta unites with William Ruto in 2013 General Election against the Luos. This is not OK! This is not right.
This kind of actions do not by any standard plant the seed of Kenyan Nationalism in our little children and in our Kenyan citizens. This kind of reasoning means that 50 years after independence, future generations are very far from starting to enjoy the real fruits of a Kenya Nationhood where every Kenyan will continue to enjoy the fruits and blessings of Kenya regardless of ones Tribe.
As the case is now it is a situation of US against THEM, OURS against THEIRS.
From another point of view, may be I have been missing the point all along. Democracy was never meant to promote Kenyan Nationalism! Democracy was meant to promote the RULE of the MAJORITY against the RULE of the MINORITY. Thus a desire of a true Kenyan Nationalism can never be promoted through Democracy. This thus throw us back to the drawing-board: If Democracy cannot promote KENYAN NATIONALISM what can? Or nothing can? When are we going to develop A SYSTEM that can promote KENYAN NATIONALISM. A true Kenyan system that promote the growth of Kenya as one people, one Nation, one Kenya, united under GOD.
When we adopted the New Kenya Constitution on 27 August, 2010, we had crossed our fingers and hoped that we have finally hit the Jackpot, we have finally got the magic to achieve Kenyan Nationalism.
A closer look somehow reveals that some seeds have been planted. We need to give credit to Mwai Kibaki, Raila Odinga and all the other players of Kenyan politics from 2002 to 2013. When Mwai Kibaki and Raila Odinga let a system grow in Kenya, which dismantles their power bases, we cannot ask anything better from human beings. In Othaya when President Kibaki desire according to his son Jimmy Kibaki to have Gichuki Mugambi against Mary Wambui  was rejected by Othaya people though logic, reasoning and truth, Kibakis power were brought down by people's power. The happening in Siaya and Kisumu when Raila Odinga and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga powers were brought down by people's power of reason, logic and truth is a turning point in Kenyan history which can largely be attributed to GOD, the New Constitution,  the Civic Education, enlightenment of the Kenyan people. A similar seed was observed in 2007 General Election, when the people of Rift Valley dismantled the great Power of Daniel Arap Moi. For sure Kenyans have come a long way. Indeed this has gone on to show that POWER belongs to GOD and GOD give POWER to the people.
The 50 Years of Kenyan Independence has not been without a lot of progress though. The challenge remain however. When will we ever develop a TRUE KENYAN SYSTEM that promotes KENYAN NATIONALISM. Or is KENYAN NATIONALISM just a dream that cannot and will never be achieved? The HOPE: God is still blessing us everyday with New-Born Babies and Kenyans are still going to school and gaining learning and education. We keep hope alive that YES! One day A STAR shall arise and lead KENYA to TRUE KENYAN NATIONALISM.
Looking at other countries like U.S.A with long histories of Civil Wars, Slavery, Racial conflicts and the far they have come, THE HOPE, FAITH and BELIEVE that KENYAN NATIONALISM can be achieved is revived. THE WALK TO KENYAN NATIONALISM IS A LONG ONE but it can be done.GOD have mercy on our Beloved Motherland Kenya. GOD bless Kenya. GOD bless you all.
